Bella interior blinds
Description
Bella interior horizontal blinds are still relatively unknown in Slovakia, although they are very popular abroad due to the declining trend of mounting blinds directly onto the window frame. This type of blinds offers several interesting designs. For example, the interior version with chain control doesn't require any chain brake, and the blinds stay in the desired position after being raised or tilted. Bella blinds also allow for motorized control with a complete range of control options from the company Somfy. This system is particularly useful for windows with triple glazing. In this case, the blinds are installed between the double insulating glass and the third attached glass. This installation method significantly reduces dust accumulation on the blinds.
Last but not least, this system allows the installation of horizontal blinds between the glass panes for glass partition walls, which are commonly used, for example, to separate administrative areas from production spaces, and so on. In this case, it is essential to install the blinds before glazing the inner glass (on the gearbox side). This type of installation is most often carried out directly at the window manufacturer. Before installation, it is necessary to prepare all the required holes in the window frame.
In the full shading version of the blinds, when the slats are tilted to one side, a compact shading area is created. This effect is caused by a special perforation method of the slats and denser ladder strings with the use of a larger number of slats. However, full shading blinds cannot be ordered in the motorized version or in the version for installation in triple-glazed windows.
This type of blinds is not suitable for use in skylight windows. The tilting of standard interior blinds in skylight windows becomes less effective by up to 50% as the slope increases.
Technical data
The Bella blinds system with a 25x25mm profile is a system with many options, providing the most diverse solutions. The K-system offer includes several versions. The interior version for triple-glazed windows and glass partition walls is controlled by an endless bead chain in sizes 70, 90, 120, 150, 180, and 210, and is equipped with a 1:1 gearbox. In the motorized version, the blinds feature a control system from the French company Somfy.
The top and bottom profiles of the blinds are made from cold-rolled sheet metal, which is galvanized and color-treated with baked paint or from aluminum sheet. The profile can be ordered in RAL colors or wood imitation finishes. The ladder slats of the blinds are made from polyester, and the pull tape is made from terylene. Both the slats and the tape are UV-resistant.

Maintenance
Blinds are intended for finished interiors. They are not suitable for humid or dusty environments. Condensed water can cause corrosion of the metal parts of the blinds. In dusty environments, the accumulation of dirt on the lift tape may lead to uneven lifting. Remove any obstacles from the blinds' path that could prevent them from lowering or, on the other hand, raising the blinds.
Lowering, raising, and tilting the slats is done by pulling the control chain in one direction or the other, or using the controller in the motorized version. Be careful not to damage or dirty the lifting fabric tape between the slats, as this could cause uneven lifting. The control chain should always be pulled along the window, perpendicular to the top rail! Failing to follow this procedure can result in the ball chain jumping out of the control mechanism! Never manually lift the blind, as this could cause the fabric tape to become loose and creased. If the tape becomes creased, lower the blind completely and manually straighten the tape.
In the case of installing interior blinds on a window frame with insulating double glazing, condensation may occur due to a higher temperature difference between the interior and exterior environments. In such cases, we recommend slightly raising the blinds by 5 - 10 cm at night and opening the slats to allow air circulation toward the glass.
A slight tilt of the blind's operation within a tolerance of ± 3 mm in interior blinds is not considered a defect.
Before cleaning the window, the blind should be raised and secured. The blinds' slats should be cleaned with a dry cloth, as dust combined with water could leave dirty stains on the slats, ladders, and tapes.
Warning:
When transporting a window with an installed blind, it is essential to secure the blind in the uppermost position. The windows must be transported with the blind facing upwards.
Warning!
In accordance with the EU regulation effective from March 1, 2014, all shading devices with a control chain featuring a breakaway system must be installed at least 60 cm above the ground. Shading devices with chain or cord controls must be secured in a fastening device mounted on the wall at a height of at least 150 cm from the ground.
- Small children can strangle in loops of pull cords, chains, belts, and internal cords that operate the product.
- To prevent strangulation and entanglement, keep cords out of the reach of children.
- Cords can wrap around a child's neck.
- Move beds, cribs, and furniture away from window blind cords.
- Do not tie cords together. Ensure that cords are not twisted and do not form a loop.
Warranty conditions
General Warranty Terms
K-system provides custom-made interior horizontal blinds. Our trained installation professionals will measure and professionally install the blinds for you. Your request will be forwarded to the nearest installation company in your area.
- The warranty covers manufacturing defects and material defects that prevent the product from functioning properly.
- The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for consequential damages or liability for the product beyond Slovak law.
- If a defect is visible upon unpacking the product, do not install it or have it installed, and promptly file a complaint with your supplier.
- The warranty does not cover the loss of original color in invisible areas, discoloration, or fading caused by sunlight, condensation, acid rain, salt droplets, or any conditions resulting in corrosion or material change, as well as natural color variations in fabric, aluminum, and wood decor. It also does not cover minor imperfections that do not significantly affect the appearance.
- The warranty does not cover any imperfections from the customer's perspective that are caused by adherence to the manufacturing process and applicable standards. For custom products, certain limitations during handling must be expected, and these limitations cannot be the subject of a complaint.
- The manufacturer's warranty also does not cover defects or damages that are a direct or indirect result of:
a) Incorrect installation (the warranty is covered by the installation company)
b) Improper use and failure to follow the operating and maintenance instructions
c) Use of inappropriate spare parts, accessories, or power sources (e.g., electrical power supply)
d) Transport or any other form of handling
e) Interference with the mechanism or modification of the product
f) Natural disasters, inadequate ventilation, and high humidity.
The manufacturer is not responsible for any breakage of the windowpane glass due to thermal stress. On construction sites, it is necessary to adhere to the following guidelines:
- Do not partially close interior and exterior shading elements. Partial shading increases the risk of thermal breakage of the glass (does not apply to tempered ESG glass), which can be eliminated by keeping the shading device at least 6 cm away from the glass.
